The Missions and Evangelism Ministry is growing quickly, but with limited funding, we have reached the boundaries of what we can do with our current budget.
That is why we are launching something new: GrowOrthodoxy.
This campaign is focused on building the future of Orthodox evangelism and mission across our Metropolis. With your support, we can expand our efforts, equip more parishes, and share the light of the Orthodox faith with more people.
We do not want to spend our limited time constantly fundraising, and we assume you would rather not have most of your interactions with us revolve around financial requests.
One-time gifts are always welcome, but what we are truly looking for is ongoing support. By becoming a monthly or annual donor, you help us plan with confidence, budget responsibly, and dedicate more time to ministry. When we know what funding is coming in next month or next year, we can live within our means and focus fully on the mission.
If you believe in this work, we invite you to partner with us and help GrowOrthodoxy!
- Fund a full time director position (currently we have three co-directors doing the best they can for a total of 25 hours a week)
- Develop an official SF GOA Handbook for Starting Missions
- 2-day “Intro to Orthodoxy” conferences for new missions launches
- Mission launch resources
- Weekend evangelism seminars where we come to your parish
- Social Media Campaigns/Training/Resources
- Funds for external services or tools
- Grants for parishes exploring new evangelism efforts
- Financial aid for new missions
- And much more!
If your parish has a new idea for evangelism but needs funding to bring it to life, we want to help.
We’re launching this fund to support you. Whether you’re planning a community event, launching a creative initiative, or trying something entirely new, we believe money should never be the reason you hold back.
This fund is our way to partner in your efforts, and efforts throughout the Metropolis, to share the Orthodox faith in our local communities.
